    • This Place is a Hidden Gem!

This Place is a Hidden Gem!

"Went back for a Saturday evening dinner on the outdoor patio which we’ve been meaning to do for months. A singer/musician provided some really nice acoustic music while the deer pranced across the front lawn. Staff was super nice and attentive from arrival through dinner. We got to finally try their mac n cheese appetizer, and the clams w/angel hair pasta appetizer.  Both were amazing, and portions were plentiful, and the clams were super tender and fresh.  For dinner, we went with pulled pork and crab cakes, both also delicious.  Only disappointment was the broccoli rabe was just too bitter, but I had selected it myself, so no harm no foul.  Their beer selection is nice with some potent Belgians, and the Bloody Mary’s tasty too.  This place is a hidden gem.  The menu is short but absolutely scrumptious.  We’re going back again soon."

    • Great spot!

      Great spot!

"Every time of year there is something great going on at the Bordley House Grille! In the spring/summer/fall, there is the lovely covered patio complete with twinkle lights and a stellar, unmatched view of the rolling hills of Chester County. Then in the winter, the 18th century farmhouse is cozy and inviting- especially with the wood-burning fireplace all ablaze! The service has always been excellent and very friendly every time I’ve eaten there, and the food is delicious! The portions are very generous, there are always additional specials, and the menu rotates every few months so there is always something new to try. The cocktail list changes with the seasons as well, and often incorporates house-infused liquors and even herbs from the restaurant’s own garden! If you like upscale casual dining with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and friendly faces, I would recommend giving the BHG a try. They have been all over West Chester Dish lately, and just recently were awarded The Best of the Best award for “New Place to Watch in 2013”, by County Lines Magazine. They’re located 10 min outside of West Chester on Strausburg Rd, about a mile and a half past Four Dog’s Tavern and Marshalton. (And trust me, it’s worth the extra mile!) Just be sure to check their calendar on their website first, (www.bordleyhousegrille.com) to make sure they’re not holding any golf outings or private events that day. (The golfers can sometimes get pretty loud)."

    • Excellent Food. Wonderful Service with Personality.

Excellent Food. Wonderful Service with Personality.

"Located about one mile beyond Marshallton off Broad Run Road is the Bordley House Grille. New ownership almost a year ago of the Broad Run Golfers’ Club meant a new chef and management for the restaurant which offers a seasonal menu. Our friends who have dined with us have consistently rated their meals as exceptional. My favorite menu items are the pulled BBQ pork and seasonal soup offerings. My husband has inhaled their scallops, pork tenderloin and meatloaf and has stated they are each the best he has ever sampled. Bordley’s offers amazing food at a more than reasonable cost. Try it!"

"One of our friends recommended that we try the BHG and we were glad we did. I had the meatloaf and my wife had a salad and the mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The setting is beautiful and they had live music. I definitely recommend you give it a try."
